Fromagerie Bergeron has the distinct pleasure of announcing that its latest creation has once again distinguished itself among the very best Canadian cheeses competing at the 89th edition of the British Empire Cheese Show. In fact, our Louis Cyr cheese took first prize for a firm cheese (Speciality Class 2) in the category that includes Edam, Fontina, Friulano, Gouda, Montasio and Tilsiter. The 2016 edition saw over 225 cheeses from 33 Canadian cheesemakers compete. The prizes were awarded Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Travelodge in Belleville, Ontario.
