Ingredients and preparation

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of prosciutto
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced or grated
  • Black pepper
  • 1 package (170 g)Bergeron Lotbinièrecheese, grated
  • 800 g (1 3/4 lb) prepared pizza dough, at room temperature

Preparation

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the prosciutto slices for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they’re golden and crispy. Chop and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter, then add the garlic and black pepper.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Divide the pizza dough into 20 equal pieces.
  5. Roll one piece into a ball, then flatten it into a circle about 10 cm (4 inches) in diameter.
  6. Brush with garlic butter, then add a pinch of Bergeron Lotbinière cheese and a few pieces of chopped prosciutto.
  7. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to create a small ball.
  8. Place the stuffed ball in the center of the baking sheet.
  9. Repeat to form all the balls, placing them in a circle around the central ball to form a wreath.
  10. Brush the tops of the balls with the remaining garlic butter, then sprinkle with the remaining cheese and chopped prosciutto.
  11. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the dough and cheese are golden brown. Enjoy!
