Bergeron Classique cheese is celebrating its 25th birthday! Launched on September 9, 1989 by Fromagerie Bergeron of Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, its Gouda Classique, now sold under the name Bergeron Classique, became the very first cheese in the Bergeron line-up.
The anniversary will be celebrated on Sunday, September 21 with a party at the plant and will feature two big top tents, local product tastings, videos and animation, cheeses and ice cream for sale on site, live music and sampling of Archibald beers along with a performance by marching band Les Éclairs de Québec.
Kid’s activities: bouncy rooms, clowns, face painting and balloons.
The goal of the event is to highlight Fromagerie Bergeron’s 25 anniversary but also to show our appreciation for the village of Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly and the people and merchants who call it home. Having been established in a small community, Fromagerie Bergeron has woven close relationships with neighbouring businesses and worked to create a real sense of ownership among its citizens. The birthday gives us a chance to celebrate this collaboration and to thank the citizens of the municipality who’ve been 100% behind us since day one.
In the afternoon, the Éclairs de Québec marching band will parade through the village streets. Then, on the plant site, Christian Richard (Mayor of Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly), Laurent Lessard (MNA for Lotbinière-Frontenac and Ministre des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs and Minister responsible for the Centre-du-Québec region), Jacques Gourde (MP for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière) as well as VP Roger Bergeron will speak. The 25th birthday cake will be served in the afternoon and the rock band Manigance will get people dancing.
Come have a piece of cake and celebrate our 25th!
